Cooler than the red dress

That coy over-the-shoulder thing
cringe hahaha!

You guys know that Sugababes song, "Red Dress"? No? Wala lang. It's one of my favorite songs - perfect for perking up a lazy day - and as I am writing this post this song comes to mind.

This red Bayo dress was one of my pre-pregnancy favorites (have had it since 2009) for being solid and cute and a no-brainer to wear. But since my fasyon challenge, it's been in my reject bin not once but twice - partly because I keep on piling crap on it.

And so, a lesson learned: Sometimes you've just got to let a good thing be.

This red dress has a lovely shape, workable length, vibrant color, and interesting, fluttery sleeves. Doesn't get any better than that.

Just a couple of things to really make this look sing: a pop-of-color statement necklace (Aksesorya). A contrasting shade makes a nice counterpoint to the redness of the look. Then an arm party is also fun, but this time I picked bracelets in a coordinating color (dark red and gold Girl Shoppe bangles) because pops of color on the neck AND the wrists is just too much color - it approaches kindergarten fingerpainting, ya know?

Then I added some high studded pumps (B Club) for height, as this below-the-knee hem can be stumpifying.

And that's it! Simple, clean, still makes an impact, boom boom pow!
