I am so happy! I cannot tell you how anxious I was before this semi-final match. Add to that, the team that I support, and have supported for 7 years now, is not very popular (at least among my social media feeds) and the days leading up to this match have been, well, not very pleasant for a Germany fan.
"Six Stars" here and "Forca Neymar" there and "Germany will play against an entire stadium," etcetera. And all this time my only question was: have you guys seen Germany play? Have you really? They are consistent and they work hard and they do not stop and resort to cheap fouls and drama (well except maybe Muller seriously Muller you don't have to) to get ahead. And I've always wondered why more people don't support them for being so good at football and instead say, oh, Germany is so dry. Germany are like robots. Germany doesn't have a charismatic forward that everyone knows, like Neymar.
ALL I EVER WANTED WAS FOR YOU GUYS TO LIKE MY TEAM TOO!
Hahaha, I do take this football stuff a bit too seriously.
Anyway! Germany is on to the finals, and I hope that the Germany we saw today -- the goal-scoring machine that is relaxed and on the attack -- is the same one that shows up on the Finals. And with that, I am off to work a happy, if groggy girl.
